Cookie Policy
Last Updated 2nd October 2026
We use cookies and similar tools on our website at bloomsofnarcissus.co.uk (“Website”) to improve its performance and enhance your user experience. This policy explains how we do that.
What are cookies?
Cookies are text files which a website may put on your device (computer, mobile, tablet, etc.) when you first visit a site or page. The cookie(s) will help the website, or another website, to recognise your device the next time you visit. We use the term “cookies” in this policy to refer to all files that collect information in this way.
Cookies can serve any functions e.g. remembering your username and preferences, analysing how well the Website is performing, or even allowing us to recommend content we believe will be most relevant to you.
Most cookies will not collect information that identifies you, but will instead collect more general information such as how users arrive at the Website. Certain cookies do contain personal information e.g. if you click “remember me” when logging in, your username will be stored by a cookie.
What sort of cookies does the Website use?
Generally, the cookies used will perform up to three different functions:
Essential cookies
These cookies are essential for the operation of the Website. If you opt to disable them, you will not be able to access or use all of the features on the site.
Performance Cookies
Other cookies analyse how our visitors use the Website and help to monitor performance. This allows a high quality experience by customising offerings and quickly identifying and fixing any issues that arise. For example, performance cookies may be used to keep track of which pages are most popular and to determine why some pages are receiving error messages.
Functionality Cookies
Functionality cookies allow us to remember your preferences. For example, cookies can save you typing in your username every time you use the Website.
To see the specific list of cookies that Squarespace (our host) uses on the Website, you can read their page here. This resource explains each cookie’s use and expiration date.
Does anyone else use cookies on the Website?
We do use or allow third parties to serve cookies that fall into the three categories above - Google Analytics is used to help monitor our traffic.
Can you block cookies?
Cookies help you to get the most out of the Website, however, if you do wish to disable cookies then you can do so by amending the settings within your browser or mobile device.
Please remember that if you do choose to disable cookies, you may find that certain sections of the Website do not work properly.
