A bit about Blooms of Narcissus
I'm Gabriele, an artist based in the South West of the UK creating botanical themed art. If you’re into Greek mythology then you’ll have already guessed the inspiration for the name of my brand and yes, I do have some daffodil designs!
My background in engineering and love for stationery lead to me designing my very own range of products. I focus on botanical themes because it helps me learn about all the plants around us and I adore being able to identify flowers wherever I go.
After a 5-year degree programme and another 5 years working in data instead of designing products like I wanted to, I felt like it was now or never. I finally have some time for my art and can focus on sustainable product design on my own terms.

I'm passionate about sustainable design, creating not just beautiful but also useful things, and engaging meaningfully with nature. This is true both professionally and on a personal level: I shop mostly secondhand, bake from scratch, and am trying very hard to spend more time outside instead of in front of a screen all day.
If you're also someone who wants to bring some nature into your everyday, my range of art prints and stationery can bring a pop of colour and joy. You might even learn something - I certainly have while researching and drawing!
Sustainable By Design
The sustainability of a product covers its entire life cycle. This means considering where and how it is made, who makes it, how far it travels, and what it's wrapped in. And, of course, where it goes when it reaches the end of its usable life.
I partner exclusively with manufacturers based in the UK for the full range of art prints and stationery that I offer in my shop. I seek out businesses that offer considerate materials, minimise their use of plastic, and share information on how their employees are treated. Where possible, I choose limited plastic and easily recyclable options.
There is always room for growth and I am definitely learning what works at every step of the journey. I want Blooms of Narcissus to be a sustainable option by default. Being inspired by nature inhherently requires that I do what I can to protect it.

Milo and Mona keep me company and provide much needed cuddles during my focused drawing sessions, website maintenance, and admin work. They also love nosing around the garden flowers and meeting insects that come to visit.
